Tom Stephens, the General Motor’s vice chairman in charge of global operations, challenged the cross-town rival Ford into a “Truck of War.” It’s between two trucks that have yet to hit the market: GM’s 2011 Chevrolet and GMC Heavy Duty pickups and Ford’s 2011 F-Series Super Duty. Stephens said that he’d like to chain the two trucks together back-to-back and pull against each other, to prove how strong GM’s Heavy Duty Pickups will be.
If this would happen (which is very unlikely), it would be the biggest publicity stunt for trucks in years. But we doubt it, no one is that confident to risk a multi-million dollar project just to prove a point.
