A statement has been issued by Toyota that they will recall approximately 2.3 million vehicles to fix sticking accelerator pedals. This would affect most 2007-10 Toyota Tundra full-size pickup trucks. The said action is separate from the earlier 4.2 million vehicle recall to correct faulty floor mats that can stuck under the accelerator pedal. A sticking accelerator pedal may become harder to press, slower to return in idle position or the worst, stuck in a partial open position. If you think about it, when it gets stuck like that, then your vehicle is really “Moving Forward” even without your help (hehe!). But if this scenario happens, just apply the breaks steadily and never panic. You can bring your vehicle to a Toyota dealer after. And by the way, the Toyota Tacoma is not included in this recall.
