Bridgestone is preparing to launch its new TV ad during the super bowl. The theme is focused on saving a whale and pickup trucks. Can’t see the connection? Well, the commercial is called “Whale of a Tale” and it features three young men driving towards the coast. Pretty simple concept, until you see the killer whale sticking out from the truck bed of a 2002-06 Cadillac Escalade EXT. Its message is loud and clear, but in case you miss it, this sneak preview tells us that the only way you can save a killer whale is by using a pickup truck. Not a hybrid car. This is what you call working-on-your advantage- move. And hey, it does work.
