Electric Motor Cars has just put on sale a small electric pickup truck in Des Moines, Iowa at a former Chrysler dealership. It’s basically a two-seat runabout based on the Romanian-built Dacia Logan that’s sold overseas. It can carry up to one ton of cargo on its small truck bed and have a 260-mile range. And for as low as $33,950, you can take home this EMC pickup. Owner of Des Moines Motors Gene Gabus aims to market these “babies” to businesses, eco-type people, and “anybody who wants to fight oil companies.”

The third category would probably have the biggest market share.
